Young Academic Award


It’s our special concern to support and encourage young scientists.

Therefore, the German Journal of Medicine (‘Deutschen Zeitschrift für Medizin’) announces following competition:
 
1st Price for the best publication of a young scientist (until 35 years) in
the journal GJOM - rewarded with 1.000 Euros.

2nd Price for the best publication of a student in the journal GJOM - rewarded with 500 Euros.

If more than one author is involved, the prize money will be divided equally among all the authors.
The application should be send per e-mail informal to the German Journal of Medicine (info@gjom.de, keyword: “Nachwuchspreis”). Deadline for the application is the 15th of December 2016. The winners will be announced in the GJOM’s January edition.

Requirements:

The article must be handed in at GJOM. It’s not allowed to publish the article in another journal. A short overview, why the author is handing in this work for the ‘Young Academic Award’, should be delivered in the e-mail. Please also indicate, for which of these two prizes you are applying.

The selection of the winners will be done by an independent jury. The judge’s decision is final.

Criteria for winning the award:
- a scientific and innovative research question     
- a good methodological quality and outline    
- the relevance for the clinical practice
